Carolyn A. Smith

Carolyn A. Smith has been a real estate agent on the North Shore since 1978. Early in her career she discovered she possessed a knack for matching people to homes, as well as for successfully marketing even the most unique properties. Carolyn understands the emotions that accompany selling a home and the nervousness of purchasing one. However, her in-depth knowledge of communities, her superior customer service, and her keen negotiating skills have put thousands of buyers and sellers at ease. As a full-time broker, Carolyn continues to offer her expertise to home owners and buyers on the North Shore and Chicago.

In 1992, along with four other top agents, Carolyn founded Prairie Shore Properties. They have since grown it to be one of the largest privately-owned real estate companies on the North Shore with offices in Evanston, Wilmette, and Chicago.

Carolyn is a member of the National Association of Realtorsâ, the Illinois Association of Realtors®, and the North Shore-Barrington Board Association of Realtors®. She is also a Life Member of the North Side Real Estate Board Million Dollar Club and winner of the Presidents Club Gold and Diamond Awards, which are presented by the Illinois Association of Realtors®.

Carolyn raised her three daughters in Evanston. She sits on the board of The Ted Fund, a nonprofit organization that helps Evanston elementary school children of limited means gain access to public recreation and enrichment programs. Along with Prairie Shore Properties, she is a corporate sponsor of the Dr. Bessie Rhodes Magnet School in Evanston, a sponsor of the Evanston Baseball and Softball Association, and is involved with many other community organizations.
